Career Ready: Students meet their Mentors Abbey Community College would like the thank the Career Ready Mentors. All Students enjoyed getting to know their Mentors this morning and are excited about the year ahead. They look forward to regular meetings with their Mentors, Masterclasses and Site Visits that will take place throughout the year. Abbey would like to thank Tony Madden for his continued support with Career Ready.

Year 8 Walking Group Year 8 Students enjoyed the Glen River Walk in Newcastle. This give them an insight to the Expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Well done to all students for completing!
Year 13 Students enjoyed a week in the real world. The main employment sectors being Education, Nursing and Hospitality. Abbey Community College would like to thank all employers for giving the students an opportunity to gain invaluable experiences.
Lower Sixth Student Alex Downing attends induction meeting at Citi Bank. This is part of the Career Ready Programme where she will work for 6 weeks over the summer. An amazing opportunity.
